Homeless Hat Ministry

Ministry Purpose & Description

Established in 2017, the purpose of this ministry is to provide an opportunity for parishioners to participate in helping the homeless. We provide training on how to make loom-woven hats which are donated to the homeless in our community.

To get started you will need the following items:
Round loom with 35 to 41 pins. Purchase from Amazon, Michaels, Walmart. Make sure you get a loom pick and yarn needle (they’re usually included).
Two skeins of four ply acrylic yarn (any color).

If you do not want to make the hats, but still want to participate, then we welcome donations of yarn (either whole skeins or leftovers).

Meeting Frequency and Meeting Place

Training/refresher sessions are held in the Parish Activity Center on the first Sunday of the month during the winter season.
