Safe Park Ministry

Call to Action: Service opportunity
I was hungry and you gave me to eat. Matthew 25:35
Have you ever felt the joy of giving help to someone in need?
We in the Safe Park Ministry would like to invite you and your friends to feel that joy.
What does that entail you ask? What is Safe Park? Is there another way I could be involved? Safe Park is exactly that, it is a parking lot behind St. Lucy’s where our homeless sisters and brothers can park their cars over night to be able to sleep in them without fear. There are a number of these in Santa Clara County. St. Lucy’s has 16 cars and 21 guests this is a full site.
Once every other week we have someone or some organization, (ministry) prepare the food for our guest and celebrate the meal with them.
  • One way to help is by hosting a dinner at St. Lucy’s Safe Park in Campbell. You would organize the planning of a meal that consists of a salad, main entree, veggies, beverage and a dessert for a pre-registered quantity.
  • A second way you could help is by checking in the guests into Safe Park in the evenings between 7:30-9:30 Monday-Friday this is something that can be done one time and will let you feel good for a week!
Think about it, pray about it, and consider it. As Isaiah 58:10 states, “If you give some of your own food to (feed) those who are hungry and to satisfy (the needs of) those who are humble then your light will rise in the darkness. Let your light shine!”
